Hi,
I am trying to verify station locations for data extraction of T2 and winds.

I want to know how can I check whether a particular station location (latitude and longitude) is on land or sea surface from the WRFOUT file using NCL.

Appreciate guidance and assistance.

Regards
Kunal

This inquiry has been moved to the NCL specific section of the forum. Someone will respond to your inquiry soon.

Maybe you can extract the value of the variable LANDMASK at the stations lat lon. It will give you any of 2 values: 1 for land and 0 for water.

I take note and thank you.

I managed to check Landmask for station locations with a script.

Thanks and regards
Kunal
