Hi,
I am running WRF 4.1.3 with ERA5 input data for a simulation of 20 years for two domains (d01: 30 km, d02: 10 km) over whole North America, and I struggle with finding appropriate dynamics options. I read that you have to change them for complex terrain, etc., which does not seem to be the case here for me with 10 km resolution. Hence, should I just leave all the default options? --> especially w_damping = 0, diff_6th_opt = 0 and diff_opt = 1?
I have a time step of d01: 180 s, d02: 60 s. Hence, is it correct that dampcoef should be 1/s and therefore
dampcoef = 0.0056, 0.0056 ?
Thanks a lot!
