I want to run 5-year daily WRF in October only. That makes it five Octobers only and not considering the other days and months in between. In namelist options, it appears that the start time and end time are continuous. Is there an option to skip time in between years or in between simulation time? Thanks.
 
Unfortunately that is not an option. You could write some sort of script that would modify the namelist after each run, or you could set up 5 namelists - 1 each for each October of interest, and have your script rename each namelist to "namelist.input" after each run - something along those lines. Otherwise, you'll have to run each October, one at a time.
