I'm using WRF 4.6.1 and I have been trying to use the TC bogusing program for awhile now and I'm having issues.
I have been trying to follow the procedure described here using the user guide.
TC bogus: how to set rmax?
WRF Utilities and Tools — WRF Users Guide documentation
Presently it seems that TC.exe runs and but it produces the aux file output with the vertical coords "num_metgrid_levels_stag" which do not match the existing metfiles "num_metgrid_levels", I found this as I tried to create a new modified metfile with a bogus vortex as suggested by inserting the created variables into the original metfile.
I'm still trying to understand the issue here but I wonder if its possibly related to this which I just found which says that TC bogus doesn't actually work with WRF => v4

I'm looking for advice on how to proceed now. Is using TC bogusing with WRF 4.6.1 just asking for trouble. What are my options?
