There is a problem with my WRF-installation, it shows "ld: cannot find -lz"

I see that you are installing WRF-chem. Are you able to build the code when you don't build the chemistry component? If so, then this is specific to chemistry and you should post this question in the WRF-chem section of the forum. Otherwise, I would suggest following the instructions here to ensure your environment is setup correctly, and that you have all the libraries installed properly.
