Hello everyone,
Please excuse me if this question seems unprofessional.
I am a third-year university researcher working with my academic advisor on studying pollutant dispersion in an industrial city. Currently, I am trying to run FLEXPART-11 using WRF output data. I am familiar with FLEXPART-WRF and can use it, but it doesn't fully meet my research needs.
I want to take advantage of the newer and more accurate FLEXPART-11 model, including its OpenMP parallelization benefits. Since FLEXPART-11 works with GFS or ECMWF forecast formats, I am trying either to write a specialized Python converter or find suitable control files for UPP to convert the WRF output to a compatible format.
Could you please advise if this task is doable? Do you have any tips or recommendations on how to approach this? Also, are there any existing UPP control files available for such conversions that I might have missed?
Thank you very much for your time and any feedback you can provide!
Best regards, Konstantin
