What are the disadvantages of installing WRF in a linux distro using WSL/WSL 2 on Windows?
We are starting to use WRF and our sysadmin refuses to obtain a dedicated Linux machine. Our use case will be downscaling of reanalysis data for wind energy applications. We will start with small scale, short test cases which will can be run on a Single-CPU workstation.
Installation seems to be viable. But we don't know if data exchange between the Linux and Windows layers is practical and if the lack of graphical output will be a drawback.
Thanks for your comments.
