I used BEP+BEM (urban setting=3) to simulate the urban environment, and want to answer the question: AC scenarios effect on urban heat environment.
However, I met a problem.
There is a parameter of AC settings to adjust the AC using time. I want to simulate AC opening from 18:00 to 8:00 of next day in residential area, while AC opening from 8:00 to 18:00. Because of the UTC time (UTC=Beijing time - 8 hour) in WRF, therefore I set the start time of residential area is 10, and end time is 24, while start time of commercial area is 0, end time is 10.
But the wrf-out file, I found it different from what I expect. Under this setting, the TLEV output showed that AC works from Beijing time 00:00 to 11:00 in commercial area(figure in attach files, it's the ΔTLEV between time setting and 24 hours of AC). It's not what I expected from 8:00 to 18:00.
