WRF model sudo password setting?

It is a simple question.
I followed up to install the WRF model by watching YouTube (Channel: MeteoQuest)

I did install the library (netcdf, libpng etc..) And then I typed the (sudo nano ~/.bashrc)
To pass the next process, I need to type password. The screen showed [sudo] password for username.
How do i know the password? or Do i need to make pwd before that ??
 
Hi,
This is an issue that is specific to your environment. You will need to speak to a systems administrator at your institution about this.
