Hello everyone,
I currently use WRF (Weather Research and Forecasting) for my simulations on a Windows laptop x1 yoga with an Intel i7 (8th generation) processor. I'm considering purchasing a MacBook Pro with the M1 chip to potentially benefit from better performance.
Before I make the switch, I’d like to ask:

Before I make the switch, I’d like to ask:
- Has anyone installed and run WRF on a MacBook Pro M1? If so, how smooth was the installation process?
- Are there any compatibility issues or performance differences that I should be aware of compared to running WRF on a Windows system?
- In your experience, is it really worth switching from a Windows i7 (8th generation) laptop to a MacBook Pro M1 for intensive WRF simulations?
