WRF|WRF-Hydro coupled model

Hello all,
I want to couple WRF and WRF-Hydro for my regional studies. Following the user guides "How to build and run WRF|WRF-Hydro", I found that they addressed the WRF and WPS compilation processes but provided no information on the WRF-Hydro component compilation. However, it has been said that the hydro directory in the WRF should be replaced by the NDHMS directory from WRF-Hydro. My question is how WRF can couple with the WRF-Hydro when we are not mentioning the LSM (e.g., Noah or Noah MP). Please share your thoughts.
