WRF_Noahmp_Crop model yield assessment

Dear all:
I was trying to test the WRF_Noahmp_Crop model in China, in wrfout there is a variable named "GRAIN (g/m2)".
I have 2 questions:
(1) if the maximum GRAIN during the grow season is the finall yield of the crop or all the GRAIN results should be accumulated to represnt the crop yield?
(2) what should I do if I want to compare the simulated crop yield from the WRF_Noahmp_Crop with the statistics, is there a conversion coefficient between the simulated GRAIN with the actiual yield?
