x-axis direction in 2D idealized wrf cases

Hello,

A 2D (XZ) idealized WRF sea breeze simulation is being run. I believe that the X axis is set to run along a constant latitude by default. How do I set the X axis to any direction, such as Northeast, so that the velocity along the X axis includes both the east-west and north-south components of the wind?

Hi,
I'm not sure anyone on our team has attempted this before. I would recommend taking a look in the dyn_em/module_initialize_ideal.F file to see if you can find where you can make a modification for that.
