Hi all,
I've recently started a new project. My goal is to quanitfy the impact of contrails. In particular I am interested to estimate radiative forcing of contrails. I am just wondering whether it is possible to use WRF idealized simulation to quantify the impacts of contrails. I have used WRF-ARW long time ago but never used WRF idealized simulations. Your help is highly appreciated.
Thanks

This post has been moved from the MPAS modeling section to the WRF Idealized Cases section, as this question pertains to WRF. Someone will respond to your inquiry soon.

If you turn on the option 'icloud' in WRF, then cloud radiative effects will be considered. Combining this option with contrails simulated by WRF, I suppose you will be able to estimate the controls radiative effects.
