Custom update z0 at every 1h period?

Hi all,

I was just wondering is there a way to provide a timeseries of z0 for a specific grid which WRF would then update in it's simulation every 1hr or any other given timestep?

Is there a possibility of using Run-Time IO to somehow provide custom derived z0 to be used by wrf instead of wrf calculating it's own z0 and using it?
Thanks!

All the best,
Leo

Leo,
I am thinking that you can follow the approach of SST update. Your Z0 data should remain unchanged everywhere except over the specific point.
This is just my personal idea and we never did this before. Hope this is helpful for you. Meanwhile, if you have any other ideas how to do so, please let me know. Thanks.
