disable chem impacts on met

Hello,

I understand how to run WRF-Chem with/without aerosol direct&indirect effects. But to run the model without the chemistry impacts on the meteorology, do I only need to turn off aer_ra_feedback in &chem? Is there any other settings needed to be changed?

Thanks,
Suqian

In this case, I guess that you need to compile WRF-ARW instead of WRF-CHEM, then run the model with chemistry being completely turned off.

Hi Ming,
Thanks for your quick respond! I don`t think I want to run WRF without chem=1 because I still need to look at some gases and aerosol. I am trying to exclude the impact of chem on met (e.g. T, wind, etc) so I could focus on chem (Is it called "offlline"?). I think I need to turn off aer_ra_feedback becuase aeresol could change met by changing radiation. Is there other way to disable chem impact on met?

Thanks,

Hi,
I am not an expert in WRF_chem and I am not sure whether your approach is feasible. Would you please post your question to wrf-chem Forum? Hopefully someone may know the answer.
