Do I need to rerun real.exe after modifying physical parameterization schemes in WRF?

Dear WRF community experts,

After modifying microphysics, cumulus convection, and other physical parameterization schemes in namelist.input, if I need to compare simulation results from different schemes, is it mandatory to rerun real.exe to regenerate the WRF initial field files? Or can I simply adjust the parameters and proceed with wrf.exe simulations?

I would greatly appreciate practical guidance from those with relevant experience. Thank you!

No, you don't need to rerun REAL unless you change LSM scheme (sf_surface_physics).
