Error Running the WRF with UCM

Hi all,

I am running the WRF model with UCM over eastern united states. The problem is the errors I am facing with UCM. The model works with UCM off but when the UCM is on it will stop after a few hours or even days. I attached the namelist and rslerror files.

Your namelist.input looks fine. I notice that you set num_lland_cat = 28, I wonder whether you add new data of landuse?
How many processors did you use to run this case?

The rsl files only show some MPT error without any issues related to pysics, which is kind of weird.

Would you please set progn = 0, then rerun this case and let e know whether it works?

just curious if you changing TS_SCHEME in the URBPARM.TBL from 1 (4-layer model) to 2 (force_restore), will this issue be fixed?

Thanks for your response. I used the data from the nlcd. I don't get any errors, so I don't know what the problem is. I will try progn=0 and let you know what happens.

if you use NLCD as input, then the value of num_land_cat should be 40. In your namelist.input, you set num_land_cat = 28, and I believe this will cause some issues in the model run.
