Hello,
this is a bit of a non-standard question. I am looking into upgrading my knowledge of using WRF. My simulation needs are often in complex and coastal terrain, so I would like to use higher-resolution input data (specifically, static data).
I've already adopted higher-resolution terrain (ASTER 1''), but I am now looking into using higher-resolution land cover, specifically CORINE 100 m. I know I have to alter the GEOGRID and probably several other tables, and also there is the issue of projection (I have limited knowledge of GIS, which I used for the ASTER terrain).
Is there a resource which I could follow to make CORINE dataset comply with WPS? Additionally, is the LANDMASK generated from the LANDUSE (i.e., the land cover), or terrain height? I am asking because in the coastal terrain having high-resolution terrain is not enough, a high-resolution land cover is necessary too.
I would appreciate all and any pointers.
Note: I did see this page: GitHub - BHajni/WRF-CORINE: WRF source codes for using CORINE land use with NOAH-MP, where the CORINE dataset is supplied in a package compliant with WPS. It is however, only at 250 and 500 m resolution, and does not work with urban physics (and only with Noah-MP land surface model). I would ideally like to maybe use a different land surface model and also enable the urban physics. Is there a way to do that, or is this the best option for regular users?
