the lat-lon values placed in the d02 moved with respect to d01

Hi, all.
question describe:
I set the Mercator projection in the namelist.wps of WPS and set up 2 layers of nested areas. The latitude range of the first layer is -30~30, and the latitude range of the second layer is -20~20.

In the output wrfoutput file, The lat range in the d01 result is consistent with the setting, but the latitude range in the d02 file is displayed as -30~10°.

process of trying to solve:

When checking XLAT and XLONG, the lat-lon values placed in the d02 moved with respect to d01.

I checked the met*d02 file, and its latitude range is -20~20, and also carefully checked the domain area and the latitude range of the wrfinput* file and found that it is consistent with the set -20~20.

However, in the result after running wrf.exe, the lat range of the d02 output file becomes -30~10, only the lat range of the first moment is -20~20, and the others are -30~10.

A similar change occurs for the value of longitude. Re-run wrf.exe still has the same problem.

The following is my namelist.wps and namelist.input, hope to get an answer, thank you.

namelist.wps

namelist.input

Your namelist.wps looks fine.
It seems that the link of your namelist.input is the same as the name;ist.wps. The download file is namelist.wps. Please double check and correct the link.

Hi
I looked at your namelist.wps and names.input. They are consistent regarding the domain settings. I see no reason why wrfout D02 ould shift to a different place.

This is a big case that is hard to repeat. Can you create a smaller case ( smaller grid umbers in D01 and D02) with mercator project, and check whether you can see the same issue? If so, please sed me your namelist files and I will see whether I can repeat the error.

Hi!Thank you for your reply!
## the cause of this problem##
I think I found the cause of this problem: the moving grid was selected when compiling WRF at the beginning.
## recent progress
After a lot of web searching, I found in the NEST_POS file of my d01 file that the area of d02 has shifted.
Maybe that's what's causing this problem.
## trying to solve:
I'm trying to correct this error and re-run WRF, I hope my judgment is correct.
If it still doesn't work out, I'll create a small simulated area and send all the files.

Thank you again, thank you for your reply, it makes me feel very warm. Wish you a happy life!

So this is a moving-nest case? If so, then it makes sense that D02 shifts to different position during the integration.
