Thompson aerosol-aware scheme mp_physics = 28 for several domains

Hi,

in this thread WRF v4.1.2 Thompson Aerosol-Aware scheme QNWFA2D a problem is described regarding the use of the aerosol-aware Thompson scheme when used for several domains and regarding the processing of the data in QNWFA_QNIFA_SIGMA_MONTHLY.dat.

I would like to ask if this has been fixed yet?

Hi,
Apologies for the delay in response. There have been some updates to the scheme since that version of WRF, though I'm not certain whether they address this specific issue. Try to run with the latest version of WRF (V4.7.0) to see if it's resolved.

Thank you, it compiles and runs fine, but of course bugs can be tricky to identify. I assume it works though since HRRR and RAP are using this scheme as well.
