I'm currently working with WRF and have successfully run some simulations. However, the model tends to overestimate higher wind speeds while underestimating calm or lower wind conditions.
I'm interested in nudging observed wind data into the WRF to improve its performance, especially during low wind events. Has anyone here implemented observation nudging for wind fields before, or tested its impact on simulation accuracy?
I'd appreciate any insights, references, or tips you might have!
