WRFv4.6 Compilation error with GNU

Dear WRF Family,

I am trying to compile WRFV4.6 with the GNU (gfortran/gcc) compiler in dmpar mode. I used source code and tar files from the WRF Release website. However, I am getting errors that I can't debug. Please find attached compile.log & configure.wrf files.
I would be grateful if someone could help me to resolve this issue.

I guess your GNU compiler is too old. Can you update it to a newer version and try to compile again?

Thank you very much, Ms Chen. Yes, my GNU compiler is 4.8.5, which is old. I will try with the updated version and let you know.
