Global Irrigation maps in Noah-MP?

Greetings,

I am trying to use the Noah-MP irrigation routines which require information generated in geogrid. This works fine for U.S.-specific domains. However, I have a grid that extends from upstream of Hawaii and downstream through Western Africa. Hence, geogrid crashes presumably because, as indicated in the index, everything in /crop has coverage limited to:

known_lat=25.0625
known_lon=-124.9375
dx = dy = 0.125

Surely there has to be a solid way to proceed here.

Hi Stefan,
Unfortunately we do not have any crop data for domains outside of the U.S. The crop module was developed by one of our collaborators, specifically for the U.S. and hasn't been developed for other regions. If you need that data, you will need to find a way to acquire and process it, yourself. I apologize for the inconvenience.
