(RESOLVED) Git not found???

WRF V4.4 MODEL
No git found or not a git repository, git commit version not available.

Trying to run the WRF and i run into this issue in the rsl.error.0000

Haven't seen this before and I can't find any reference in other user posts. Any suggestions or reccomendations?

This message indicates that you download codes somewhere from the website (probably a tar file). If you obtain the codes by "git clone" command, you will have the git information.

But I believe either way should work. The message "No git found or not a git repository, git commit version not available" should't be a reason for your case to crash.

Would you please clarify whether your case is done successfully?

For me it was actually a warning, not an error, so I was able to keep going.
